Our Story

In October 2020, I became a mother to a beautiful, colicky baby during the height of the pandemic. Suddenly, everything I thought I knew about parenthood was turned upside down. With my newborn needing to be held 24/7, I found myself overwhelmed and isolated. The exhaustion was all-consuming—simple tasks like cooking, cleaning, or even taking a walk outside for some fresh air felt impossible. Some days, I couldn’t even manage to eat lunch.

In the midst of this, I felt like I was failing. I thought I was doing my best, but it never seemed like enough. I felt alone and defeated, questioning whether I was cut out for motherhood. That's when a close friend suggested I try using a baby carrier. She recommended a popular minimalist brand that promised both comfort for my baby and ease for me.

The moment I tried that baby carrier, my world shifted. Not only was I able to soothe my baby’s constant need to be held, but I also found the freedom to do the things I had put on hold—take walks, get things done around the house, eat lunch, even enjoy a quiet moment. Babywearing empowered me in a way I hadn’t experienced before. I was no longer a prisoner to my exhaustion. I could be the mom I wanted to be, while still taking care of myself. For the first time, I didn’t feel lost to the chaos of new motherhood. Babywearing gave me the balance and connection I had been longing for.

With a background in design and a creative and engineering mindset, I saw an opportunity to create something better. I knew I could take what I loved about that baby carrier and build something that perfectly balanced comfort, style, simplicity, and function. That’s how Beespoke was born.
